Distances are road miles routed on OpenStreetMap data and verified August 2026. Drive times are Arion's own operating ranges in clear conditions. I-25 construction between Berthoud and Thornton, winter weather and Friday afternoon southbound traffic routinely add 20 to 40 minutes. That is why every early-morning DEN pickup is built with a cushion rather than a best case.
Getting to Red Rocks and Denver venues from up north
The hardest part of a Denver concert is not the ticket. It is the 11 PM drive back up I-25 after a show at altitude, on a Tuesday, with work in the morning. From Fort Collins that is 77 miles each way, 154 miles round trip, and rideshare coverage back into Larimer County late at night is thin enough that people get stranded in Morrison waiting for a car that never comes.

Airport runs have their own pages, because the questions are different — distance, drive time, meeting point and what happens when the flight moves. Every Northern Colorado town has one: DIA to Fort Collins (70 mi), DIA to Windsor (63 mi), DIA to Loveland (57 mi), DIA to Greeley (56 mi), DIA to Longmont (43 mi, the shortest) and DIA to Estes Park. And if you are heading the other direction, the mountain routes start at Colorado mountain transportation.
Winter on the I-25 corridor
NoCo winter is not mountain winter, and it fails differently. The corridor gets ground blizzards: wind off the plains pushing snow across I-25 with clear sky overhead, visibility going from fine to nothing over a mile of road. Weld County's east-west county roads drift shut before the interstate does. And DEN sits out on the plains where the wind is worst, so an airport closure is often a road problem before it is a runway problem.
What that means operationally: from November 1 through April 30 an SUV carries a maximum of 5 passengers rather than 6, because ski and snowboard gear rides inside, not on a rack. Early-morning DEN departures get an extra cushion built into the pickup time in winter, not a best-case one. If your flight moves, dispatch moves the pickup. Arion does not cancel a reservation because an airline slipped. The only cancellation triggers are your instruction, or no answer to phone, text and email an hour after the flight has gated.
