What actually happens to ground transportation on December 31
Demand triples and supply does not. Every restaurant seating, every hotel ballroom and every downtown venue empties within roughly forty minutes of midnight, into a street grid that is partially closed and entirely full. On-demand pricing responds the only way it can, and the wait times that come with it are worse than the multiplier.
The pre-arranged model behaves differently on exactly this night. The vehicle is committed to you before December, the rate was set then, and the chauffeur is parked and waiting rather than being dispatched into the same jam as everyone else.
Rates are hourly and all-inclusive except gratuity, with the first 40 miles of each booking included. Executive Sedan $150/hr (3 passengers, 2-hour minimum), Executive SUV $125/hr (5), Luxury SUV $150/hr, Luxury Coach Van $250/hr (12, 3-hour minimum), Executive/Jet Van $325/hr (9) on a 4-hour minimum. Stretch limousines, party buses and coach buses are quote only. The rate is locked when you book and does not move with demand, weather or the hour of the night.
How to structure the night
Most New Year's Eve bookings are four to six hours, which is not a minimum we impose so much as what the evening actually takes. A useful shape:
The alternative — booking two short transfers and improvising the middle — works right up until midnight and then does not. If you only book one thing, book the ride home.
Downtown after midnight: pick the meet point in advance
Sixteenth Street, Larimer Square and the blocks around the convention center do not behave normally on New Year's Eve. Streets close, curb access disappears, and a driver circling is a driver you cannot find.
So we agree the pickup spot when you book, usually a corner one block off the venue rather than the venue door. Your chauffeur texts you the exact location and stays there. It sounds fussy in November. At 12:40 a.m. it is the difference between a two-minute wait and a forty-minute one.
The same applies to hotel ballroom events, where a hundred people exit into one porte-cochere at once. We meet a block away and everyone is home sooner.
Mountain New Year’s Eve
Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone all run their own December 31 programs, and a fair share of our NYE work is Front Range residents going up for the night or the week. Two things change.
Vehicles run state-approved winter tires and four-wheel drive, which satisfies Colorado's Traction Law without chains; two-wheel-drive vans and buses carry the traction devices the state requires. Chauffeurs are asked to carry a cold-weather kit — flares, triangles, solar blankets, water, food.
In a storm the thing that changes is the route, not the trip. Closures are checked before departure and adjustments are made en route at the chauffeur's discretion, and the chauffeur tells you what changed and why. There is no vehicle swap and no cancellation from our side.
And the return timing: I-70 eastbound on January 1 is one of the worst traffic days of the year, comparable to a Sunday afternoon in February but with a later start. Leaving at 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m. is the difference between two hours and four.

The sober-ride conversation nobody wants to have
It is the single most common reason people book December 31, and almost nobody says it out loud. So: a pre-arranged car with a professional chauffeur removes the decision entirely, for everyone in the vehicle, without anyone having to be the person who raises it.
Alcohol is allowed in the vehicle for passengers 21 and over. Smoking and vaping are not. Damage or excessive cleaning is billed.
Colorado's holiday DUI enforcement periods are published and heavily staffed. That is the least interesting reason not to drive on New Year's Eve, but it is a reason.
Booking, cancellation and what we will not do
Reserve by mid-November for a December 31 date. Standard minimum notice is six hours, and inside two hours a booking is a rush at $50 with confirmation only once a chauffeur is actually secured — which on New Year's Eve is not a formality.
Cancellation terms are the same on every booking: full refund at 48 hours or more, up to 50% inside 48 hours, nothing inside 24. Tours run on a 7-day window.

Do you charge extra on New Year's Eve?
No. The rate is locked when you book and does not move with demand or the date. Hourly rates on December 31 are the same as any other night.
How many hours should I book for New Year's Eve?
Four to six, in most cases. That covers dinner, the event and the return, with the vehicle waiting in between rather than being re-dispatched.
When do New Year's Eve bookings sell out?
Vehicles commit through November. Mid-November is the sensible deadline; by late December the choice is whatever is left.
Where will my driver meet me downtown after midnight?

Can the car wait between dinner and the party?
Yes, and that is the normal structure. Billing is continuous hourly with waiting time included; the chauffeur stays on site or nearby and comes forward on a text.

Can you take us to Vail or Breckenridge for New Year's Eve?
Yes. Vehicles run 4WD and state-approved winter tires, and mountain timing gets a two-hour weather buffer. Note that I-70 eastbound on January 1 is one of the heaviest traffic days of the year — leave before 10 a.m. or after 6 p.m.
What happens if it snows on New Year's Eve?
The route changes, not the trip. Closures are checked before departure and adjustments are made en route at the chauffeur's discretion. We do not cancel on you.
How late do you run?
As late as the booking runs. Dispatch is a phone number answered by a person, including at 2 a.m. on January 1.

Can you handle a large group on New Year's Eve?
Yes. Vans seat nine to twelve, and party buses and coach buses are available on a quote. Large groups should book earlier than small ones — there are fewer big vehicles.
Do you serve Boulder, Fort Collins and the suburbs on New Year's Eve?
Yes, across Denver and the Front Range. Longer-distance pickups are worth booking earlier because the vehicle is committed to the round trip.
