Flying Into DEN With Kids,
Car Seats and Too Many Bags
We supply the car seats, we plan for the luggage, and the chauffeur is a person we can name before you land.
Arion provides private family transportation at Denver International Airport with rear-facing, forward-facing and booster seats supplied and installed. Car seats are $25 per seat, boosters are free, and both must be requested before the chauffeur is dispatched. Colorado law requires child restraints, and that requirement applies in our vehicles with no exceptions.
Car seats: what we provide and what it costs
We carry and install rear-facing seats, forward-facing seats and boosters. Car seats are $25 per seat — two seats is $50 — and boosters are free, however many you need.
The one hard rule: request them at booking. Seats have to be in the vehicle before the chauffeur leaves for the airport. It is not something dispatch can fix while you are standing at Door 511.
If Colorado law requires a restraint for your child, it is required in our vehicles too. There is no version of this where we wave it through because the ride is short or the flight was long.
Bringing your own seat is fine. Tell us anyway, so the chauffeur knows to allow time to install it properly rather than in traffic on Peña Boulevard.
The luggage math, done honestly
Plan on five large suitcases plus a carry-on each in an SUV, and up to eighteen suitcases in a van. Oversized items ride on the roof. We work hard at not having anyone sit on a bag — these are not short trips.
A family of four with four checked bags, two car seats and a stroller does not fit in an Executive SUV the way the seat count suggests. Car seats occupy seats and strollers occupy cargo. The realistic answer for that family is a Luxury SUV or a Luxury Coach Van, and we would rather say so at booking than discover it at the curb.
Rates are hourly and all-inclusive except gratuity, with the first 40 miles of each booking included. Executive Sedan $150/hr (3 passengers, 2-hour minimum), Executive SUV $125/hr (5), Luxury SUV $150/hr (6), Luxury Coach Van $250/hr (12, 3-hour minimum), Executive/Jet Van $325/hr (9) on a 4-hour minimum. Stretch limousines, party buses and coach buses are quote only.
Arriving at DEN with children
At DEN the default is curbside on Level 5, Island 2 — Door 506 on the west side, Door 511 on the east, depending on which baggage claim your airline uses. Your chauffeur texts you the exact spot, because DEN moves doors and staging during construction. An inside meet-and-greet at the top of the escalators, with a name sign and help to baggage claim, is available at DEN for $75.
With small children the $75 inside meet-and-greet is usually worth it. The chauffeur meets you at the top of the escalators with a name sign, helps at baggage claim, and walks the group to the vehicle — instead of you crossing Level 5 with a stroller, four bags and a five-year-old.
Your pickup is set for 30 minutes after your scheduled landing time, the chauffeur texts you as soon as the aircraft is on the ground, and the vehicle is not released until dispatch has exhausted every way of reaching you — one hour after landing with no contact is the only release trigger.
Nobody is going to leave because your toddler needed a bathroom between the train and baggage claim.
Students, minors and grandparents
Unaccompanied minors travel by arrangement. Trips are booked to a named chauffeur rather than a rotating pool, and dispatch can confirm pickup and drop-off with a parent by text. Recurring school-year arrangements are handled under a written agreement.
Older passengers. Folding wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen and service animals are accommodated. Our fleet is not wheelchair-lift or ramp-equipped — if that is what you need, our DEN accessibility guide names an ADA operator we refer to directly.
Pets ride too, controlled and cleaned up after, with a pit stop if you ask.

The five things to tell us when you book
Give us these and the vehicle that shows up is the right one. Miss them and it is a conversation at the curb, which with children is the worst possible place to have it.
Getting there, and how long it really takes with kids
The drive time is the drive time. What families underestimate is the front half: train from the concourse, baggage claim, car seats installed properly at the curb. Budget 30 to 45 minutes on the ground at DEN before the vehicle moves, and more in December.
Mid-trip stops are fine — a grocery run before the condo is the most common one. Service is billed hourly, so the clock keeps running through the stop, and we say so up front rather than surprising anyone on the invoice.
Winter mountain runs get about two extra hours of buffer built into the pickup time.
Who is driving your children
Every Arion chauffeur is background-checked, drug-tested and trained against a written standard operating procedure before carrying a passenger. That SOP is not a formality: it covers vehicle inspection, staging, airport procedure, discretion, and what to do when the highway closes. Chauffeurs recertify against it.
Rides are covered by our own fleet, by Arion-trained independent affiliate chauffeurs, and by vetted Colorado PUC-certified operators. The standard is the same in all three cases, because the SOP is the same. If a trip is covered by an affiliate, the vetting, the insurance requirement and the procedure do not change.
The record, since Arion opened in October 2025: more than 2,500 trips, 10,556 passengers, 579,878 miles, zero accidents. More than 65% of those trips were run on Arion’s own fleet with Arion chauffeurs; the balance went to vetted Colorado PUC-certified affiliate operators trained to Arion’s written standards (how we vet them). 51% of clients book again, and repeat clients are 79% of revenue — which is the number we would look at if we were the ones choosing.
What it costs, with every add-on listed
The hourly rate is the price of the vehicle and the chauffeur. It is all-inclusive except gratuity, and the first 40 miles of the booking are included — per booking, not per hour. Everything that can be added to it is on this list, and nothing that is not on this list gets added later.
No surge pricing, no late-night premium, no storm premium. And a rate lock: if our published rates rise after you book, your booked rate holds for that date. Change the date yourself and the new date's rate applies — unless the change was forced by a delayed or cancelled flight, in which case you get a credit instead.
Cancellation: full refund at 48 hours or more, up to 50% inside 48 hours, none inside 24. Tours run a 7-day window.
Questions we get asked
Do you provide car seats at Denver airport?
Yes. We provide and install rear-facing seats, forward-facing seats and boosters. Car seats are $25 per seat and boosters are free. They must be requested before the chauffeur is dispatched, so add them when you book.
Are car seats required in a car service in Colorado?
If a child restraint is required by Colorado law for your child, it is required in our vehicles. There is no exemption for chauffeured service, and we do not make one.
Can I bring my own car seat?

What vehicle do I need for a family of four with car seats and luggage?

Will the chauffeur meet us inside the terminal?

Are pets allowed?
Yes, controlled and cleaned up after. These are luxury vehicles, and excessive cleanup is assessed as a fee after review. We are happy to make a pit stop.
How much does a family airport transfer from DEN cost?

How early should we be picked up for a flight out of DEN with kids?
Work back from DEN's recommended two hours before departure, then add the drive and 10 to 15 minutes. From the mountains in winter, add about two hours. We set the pickup time for you when you book.
