What an hourly booking actually includes
Denver car service is sold by the hour, and the hour is where most of the confusion lives. Here is ours, in plain terms.
The clock starts at your pickup, not at our garage
You are billed from the scheduled pickup time to the final drop. We do not bill for the drive out to you or the drive home afterward.
Two-hour minimum, and the first 40 miles are included
Every booking carries a two-hour minimum and 40 included miles. That covers almost any round trip inside the metro. Mileage beyond 40 is billed at the trip rate quoted up front.
Stops do not cost extra, but they cost time
There is no per-stop fee. Add a dinner reservation, a second pickup, a stop at the office. The time simply counts against the hourly clock, and any overage is charged at the end of the trip rather than guessed at the start.
As-directed and roadshow days bill the same way
A full day with a car at your disposal, four stops or fourteen, is billed at the vehicle's hourly rate plus the standard fees. There is no separate roadshow rate and no premium for keeping the car.
The quote is the price
No surge pricing, ever. Rates do not move because it is snowing, because it is New Year's Eve, or because demand spiked twenty minutes before your pickup. Seasonal offers do exist and we announce those on our social channels, but the number on your confirmation is the number you pay.
Hourly rates
| Vehicle | Passengers | Hourly | Minimum |
|---|---|---|---|
| Executive Sedan | 3 | $150 | 2 hours |
| Executive SUV | 5 | $125 | 2 hours |
| Luxury SUV | 6 (5 Nov–Apr) | $150 | 2 hours |
| Luxury Coach Van | 12 | $250 | 3 hours |
| Jet Van | 9 | $375 | 4 hours |
| Executive Van | 12 | $325 | 4 hours |
Stretch limousines, party buses and coach buses are quoted rather than rate-carded. Quoting confirms availability at the same time, and for those vehicles availability is the scarce thing. Taxes, fuel surcharge, gratuity and card processing are added to the hourly rate and shown on your quote before you confirm.
FAQs
What areas do you serve?
We serve all of Denver metro, DIA, Boulder, Golden, and surrounding areas. We also provide long-distance transfers to Vail, Aspen, and mountain destinations.
Do you offer corporate accounts?
Yes. We offer dedicated account management, corporate billing, and NDA compliance for businesses.
Do you offer point-to-point trips as well as hourly service?
Both. Point-to-point is priced for a single transfer such as home to DEN or hotel to a venue. Hourly (as-directed) service keeps the same chauffeur and vehicle for dinners, meetings, tours, and multi-stop nights.
Can I set up a recurring or corporate account?
Yes. Recurring commuters, executive assistants, hotels, and event planners get a standing profile with preferred vehicle, saved addresses, consolidated monthly invoicing, and priority dispatch.
Are your chauffeurs local?
Yes. Arion's chauffeurs live and drive here, Denver one-ways, I-70 and I-25 timing, canyon roads, resort access, and DEN's arrival flow are learned routes, not GPS guesses.
Which vehicle should I choose?
Match passengers plus luggage: Executive Sedan for 1–3 with light bags, Executive SUV for up to 5 with luggage, Luxury SUV for up to 6 in captain's-chair comfort, Luxury Coach Van or Luxury Coach Van for 7–12 or full ski gear, Executive/Jet Van for VIP groups of 9, and buses for 20–50.
Are all vehicles AWD or 4WD for mountain travel?
Mountain-assigned SUVs and vans are AWD/4WD on winter-rated tires and carry chains, meeting Colorado's Traction Law. Executive Sedans are assigned to Front Range and metro work in winter conditions.
Is Arion licensed and insured?
Yes. Arion, LLC is a Colorado PUC-certified passenger carrier operating as Arion Transportation and Tours. Every vehicle and every trip is fully insured, well beyond what a rideshare driver carries.
How much does Arion cost per hour?
Rates are hourly and per vehicle, not per person: Executive Sedan from $150/hr, Executive SUV from $125/hr, Luxury SUV from $150/hr, and group vehicles (Luxury Coach Van, Executive/Jet Van, buses) from $250/hr. Hourly minimums apply by vehicle, hourly trips include up to 40 total miles of travel per booking, and your exact total is shown before you confirm.
What will I know before the trip?
Twenty-four hours before pickup you receive a text with your chauffeur's name, their contact number and photo, the vehicle and its license plate, and your full trip details, with a request to confirm everything is correct. You are then texted again when the chauffeur is on the way, when they are on location, when you are on board, and when the trip is complete. Both the passenger and whoever booked the trip receive every update, so an assistant booking on someone's behalf never has to chase a status. You can also track the vehicle's location from an hour before pickup and throughout the trip.
I left something in the car.
Call dispatch. Found items are logged with a photograph, a description and the time and place found, then held secured at our main office, and often the chauffeur can return it the same day. Wallets, phones, medication, keys and identity documents are escalated to dispatch immediately, and every return is handed off with your confirmation and logged.
Can we drink in the vehicle?
Alcohol is welcome for passengers 21 and over. Consumption by anyone under 21 is not permitted. Soda, water and refreshments are on board for everyone. Smoking is not permitted in any Arion vehicle, and a smoking incident carries a minimum $500 cleaning charge.
Do you provide car seats?
Yes. Child car seats are $25 per seat and we carry both rear-facing and forward-facing, so tell us which one you need when you book. Booster seats are provided at no charge; just tell us how many at the time of reservation so your chauffeur arrives with the right equipment already in the vehicle. If a child seat is required by law, it is required in our vehicles too.
Where does the chauffeur pick me up at my home?
At your front door, unless you tell us otherwise. If you would rather be met at the end of the driveway, at a side entrance or anywhere else, add it to the notes field when you book. Gate codes are worth including too. A chauffeur who already has the code is not the one calling you at 4:45 a.m. from outside the gate.
Can we make a stop along the way?
Yes, and there is no added charge for a stop. Keep in mind that it extends the trip. A gear stop or a grocery run on the way to the mountains adds real time, and on hourly bookings that time counts. Any overage is charged when the trip is complete.
How early does the chauffeur arrive for a Denver metro pickup?
Ten to fifteen minutes before your scheduled departure time. Your chauffeur is on site and ready before the clock starts, so you are never waiting on us. In snow or heavy weather dispatch may push that to as much as 30 minutes early, at their discretion, based on road conditions that morning.
How to Judge a Chauffeur Company
Star counts are easy to accumulate. These are the numbers that are hard to fake.
Operating record
More than 2,500 completed trips, 10,556 passengers carried, 579,878 miles driven, and zero accidents. More than 65% of those trips were run on Arion’s own fleet with Arion chauffeurs; the balance went to vetted Colorado PUC-certified affiliate operators trained to Arion’s written standards (how we vet them).
Private Loyalty Rate — 51%
51% of Arion clients book us again, and those repeat clients account for 79% of our revenue. Clients of private chauffeured service rarely publish where they went or who they traveled with, and we never ask them to, so we measure loyalty instead of applause. Read how we handle client discretion and privacy.
Credentials and coverage
Colorado PUC authority LL-04689, fully insured on every vehicle and every trip, with chauffeurs background-checked, drug-tested and trained to our own written standards. See safety and licensing.
