Why Arion Is Moving to Hourly Billing

Starting July 1, 2026 — what's changing, why, and what it means for you.

Quick Answer: Starting July 1, 2026, Arion is moving from flat-rate pricing to hourly billing for all transportation services. The change protects Arion's service standard — professional chauffeurs, maintained vehicles, full commercial insurance — while giving clients more flexibility when schedules shift.

First — thank you.

You've trusted us with airport rides, concerts, weddings, ski trips, and getting your family where they needed to be safely. Every reservation matters to us. Many of you have become more than clients — you've become people we genuinely look forward to seeing.

Starting July 1, 2026, Arion is moving to hourly billing for our transportation services.

This wasn't a decision we made overnight.

What's Driving the Change

Fuel costs keep climbing. Commercial insurance increases every renewal cycle. Maintenance, tires, parts — all of it costs more than it did a year ago. And finding professional chauffeurs who meet our standards means compensating them accordingly.

One thing we won't do is cut corners.

We won't hire inexperienced drivers because they cost less. We won't postpone maintenance or compromise safety to hold a price point. And we won't lower the standard of service Arion was built on.

Hourly billing gives us the flexibility to protect that standard — and to take care of the people behind the wheel and the vehicles you ride in.

What This Means for You

For many of you, this will actually simplify things. Flight delayed? Dinner ran long? Traffic backed up on I-70? Your chauffeur stays on your schedule instead of trying to force a flat rate into circumstances no one can predict.

You pay for the time you use. No more overpaying for short trips. No more stress when plans shift.

The Standard Stays the Same

Already have a reservation after July 1? Your confirmed booking stays at the quoted rate. This change applies to new reservations only.

What's not changing: the vehicles, the chauffeurs, the service. Every ride is still in Arion's own fleet — commercially insured, PUC-licensed, professionally maintained. Every chauffeur still meets the same hiring and training standards we've held since day one.

We don't take your business for granted. This wasn't about charging more — it was about building a company that can continue serving you the right way for years to come.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does hourly billing take effect?

July 1, 2026, for all Arion transportation services.

Why is Arion switching from flat-rate to hourly?

Rising fuel, insurance, maintenance, and compensation costs made hourly billing the most sustainable model to maintain our service standard without cutting corners on safety, vehicles, or chauffeur quality.

How does hourly billing benefit me?

Your chauffeur stays on your schedule. Flight delays, extended dinners, or traffic on I-70 don't force a flat rate into circumstances no one can predict. You pay for the time you actually use.

Will my existing reservation be affected?
