Before a single chauffeur clocked in, before a tire or a dispatch screen entered the picture, fuel and insurance alone had already crossed a quarter of a million dollars.

We tried to find something funny about commercial insurance. There isn't anything. Fuel at least came with reward points.
Somewhere in those miles: 8,760 car washes. Colorado has a habit of throwing snow, slush, mud, magnesium chloride and assorted pieces of I-70 at a freshly cleaned black SUV. Add 17 windshields and 14 flat tires.
And after nearly 580,000 miles: zero accidents. One speeding ticket.
Violation — Morrison PD. Paid.
Jim was alone in the vehicle, heading into Morrison for a Red Rocks pickup, when the limit dropped from 45 to 25 ahead of a curve. The limit noticed. Jim did not.
No passengers, nobody hurt — just a fine, and a story that got funnier once it was paid off.
Our Second Home Has a Runway
More than half of our completed trips have been airport runs. DIA is part workplace, part waiting room, part dysfunctional family member.

Airports taught us that airplanes don't care about anyone's schedule. Flights land early, land late, get cancelled, lose bags. Every so often a passenger arrives in Denver while their luggage quietly begins a separate vacation.
What the passenger sees is a clean vehicle at the curb. What they don't see is someone tracking the inbound flight, watching the forecast, checking road conditions, re-sequencing a chauffeur, and working out in real time how Plan A became Plan D.
That's the job. The passenger shouldn't have to think about any of it.
Colorado Had Other Plans
We've worked through every major Colorado winter storm we've tracked since 2023. Bad weather doesn't stop people from needing rides — it usually means everyone needs one at the same time. When the plane can't get them there, the highway becomes Plan B.
December through March alone: 1,000+ airport trips and 4,100 passenger movements.
Turns out there's real demand for "my flight got cancelled, I need to get there, and please don't tell me it's a beautiful day in Colorado." We found it.
Not Every Trip Is Created Equal
Airports were only part of it. There were concerts — a lot of them — plus weddings, sporting events, corporate runs, birthdays, and plain nights out. More than 2,000 passenger movements in our records were concert-related.
We've noticed that five people headed to Red Rocks bring more luggage than five people headed skiing for a week. We don't understand it. We just load the vehicle.
Which is why "2,500 trips" undersells what actually happened. An executive's solo run to DIA counts as one trip. So does a family of six moving to Breckenridge with enough gear to homestead. So does a full wedding party.
